I totally agree with you – it’s insane what I’ve been seeing and hearing. Like when you say “It is the logic of a rapist trying to teach sexual morality”…insane! People talking about principles of recovery and love and the traditions while on a crusade to destroy the reputation of others. It is sickening.

Thank God for the traditions! Thank God for Bill Wilson’s express thoughts on inviolate autonomy….there are tons of literature on this stuff – and quite frankly, it is the Area/District table leaders responsibility to ensure that the table is well educated in our traditions literature before allowing such grievous motions and ideas to be brought to the table. Rather than making a “motion”…these people should be doing a step 4!
Amen!! Praise the Lord!! This is at the heart of the matter – who is the source of these ideas?? God or Satan!
What exactly do they think they can do with these “legislative edicts”?…can they really stop you or anyone else for that matter from saying, doing and being exactly what you want? What do they think “removing” a meeting name from a list will do? (That is a disgusting travesty of our traditions if I ever heard one)…but what do they think that will accomplish? ….have they never met you? lol! As if that would stop the work of the Lord! In fact that kind of unrecovered behavior and control tactics has the opposite effect! It makes people curious about this Jesus of yours! It’s how we met remember?

WOW. I checked out this blog at the suggestion of a friend, half heartedly I must say. I was expecting just another self centred ramble of “look how cool my life is” with some cheesy pictures and memes of “I am woman – hear me roar”. Sorry, but I am a little jaded by all the fluffy emotionalism dominating recovery-esque blogs.
