I thank you God for forgiving me of everything I’ve ever done wrong, because of what your Son, Jesus did for me. For what he FINISHED on the cross. I pray for wisdom. I pray that I may be given power to obey you in everything that I do. I hear your knock and I open the door, and let you in. I have heard the gospel and I believe. I repent and believe in you alone. I place my trust in you alone as my Savior and as my substitute on the cross.

You are my personal Lord and Savior. I thank you for living and dying for me. I believe that You are the Son of God and the only door to eternal life. I believe and put my trust in you that you died for my sins on the cross over 2000 years ago and rose from the dead by the power of your Holy Spirit. That same Holy Spirit Power is greater than all other powers and has already defeated Satan and his demons on the cross over 2000 years ago. I silence all other influences and interference. I renounce all supernatural works and manifestations that are not in accordance with scripture, and I strip you of your shield of invisibility. Thank you God for destroying the works of the Devil in my life.

Father, I come before you in Jesus’ name, and I thank you for giving me all power and all authority over all demons. I renounce Satan and I return all of the powers and gifts he has tried to seduce me with.

I am covered by the righteous blood of Jesus. I break and loose myself from all the curses that I have placed on myself, and all the curses that have been placed on me. It is the Power of Jesus Christ Himself that rebukes you Satan. I take my authority and I bind the strongman over my mind, will, emotions, and over my home, in Jesus name. I command you to leave this area now in Jesus’ name. I bind up every demon that was sent to me, transferred to me, or followed me, and I command you to come out of my conscious, subconscious, unconscious mind, all parts of my body, will, emotions, and personality.

I silence any spirit guides, and I bind my ungodly power with the blood of Jesus Christ. I renounce all pride, arrogance, and self-sufficiency in the Name of Jesus Christ. I command every single part of me, known and unknown, into the very fiber of my being, to submit to God, and obey only the Voice Of The One True God, the great I AM, our Lord Jesus The Christ. It is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself that rebukes you Satan and all of your demons. God I humbly ask you for the faith that will cling to you.

I do not conform to the pattern of this world, but I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. Then I will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–your good, pleasing and perfect will.

God, I offer myself to you, to build with me and to do with me as you will. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do your Will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them, may bear witness to those I would help, of your Power, your Love, and your Way of life. May I do your Will always.

Dear God, thank you for bringing us together. I ask you to draw us close to you now, and help us to pray in the way your word teaches. In the name of Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, I ask you God to come against and rebuke the Evil spirits surrounding us now weaving destruction in our lives. I close my mind from any influence or interference not from God. My mind belongs to me and I will use it to glorify God alone. It is the Lord Jesus Himself that rebukes you Satan and all of your demons. God, I now turn away from everything that has seduced me from you, and I ask you to save me and deliver me. Because you said you would. And you are the Author of all Truth, and Love and Mercy. Bless the Lord, Bless His name, Bless His heart, who chases after sinners, and exalts the humble. Please God, help us to be with you as you are with us. Amen.

War On The Saints Study:
“It is striking to find that the Lord did not attempt to convince the Pharisees of His claims as the Messiah, nor take the opportunity of winning the Jews, by yielding to their desires for an earthly king. His one work in this world was manifestly to conquer the Satanic prince of the world by the death of the Cross (Heb. 2: 14); to deliver his captives from his control, and to deal with the invisible hosts of the prince of darkness working at the back of mankind (See 1 John 3: 8).

The commission He gave to the twelve, and to the seventy, was exactly in line with His own. He sent them forth, and “gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to preach the gospel” (Matt. 10: 1); to “first bind the strong man” (Mark 3: 27), and then to take his goods; to deal with the invisible hosts of Satan first, and then “preach the gospel.”

From all this we learn that there is one Satan, one devil, one prince of the demons, directing all the opposition to Christ and His people; but myriads of wicked spirits called “demons,” lying spirits, deceiving spirits, foul spirits, unclean spirits, subjectively at work in men. Who they are, and whence their origin, none can positively say. That they are spirit beings who are evil is alone beyond all doubt; and all who are undeceived and dispossessed from Satanic deception, become witnesses, from their own experience, to their existence, and power. They know that things were done to them by spirit beings, and that those things were evil; therefore they recognize that there are spirit beings who do evil, and know that the symptoms, effects and manifestations of demoniacal possession have active, personal agencies behind them. From experience they know that they are hindered by spirit beings, and therefore know that these things are done by evil spirits who are hinderers. Therefore, reasoning from experimental facts, as well as the testimony of Scripture, they know that these evil spirits are murderers, tempters, liars, accusers, counterfeiters, enemies, haters, and wicked beyond all the power of man to know.

The names of these evil spirits describe their characters, for they are called “foul,” “lying,” “unclean,” “evil,” and “deceiving” spirits, as they are wholly given up to every manner of wickedness, and deception, and lying works. – Jessie Penn-Lewis; War On The Saints Chapter 2

Shipwrecked

May 8th, 2014

14 years ago today was my first day totally off all drugs (hyperventilating into brown paper bags from anti-depressant detox induced panic attacks while trying to crawl under my treatment centre bed to hide!) and you God delivered me!! You rescued me. You made the impossible happen. You healed me, recovered me and set my soul on fire. You brought me out of darkness into light. I leapt off of the cliff of faith and you caught me mid air!! How amazing are you?? I was lost and you found me. I was blind and you made me to see! I was dead and you brought me to life. THANK you for hearing my cry. Thank you for saving my life. Thank you for giving me the most incredible son and fellowship of believers in my life. Pure fire flows through my veins, a fire that is stoked by the love and passion I have with you. May my life be a continual offering of joy to you! I hope and pray that I will praise you with every drop of my life and preach your name to my last breath.

Thank you most of all for bringing me to a saving faith in your Son, Jesus Christ.

Apples & Oranges

‘Conversion is supernatural and produces a change in us. Genuine conversion causes us to hate the sin we once loved. It means that you no longer live in wilful habitual sin.

“Do Christians struggle with sin? Yes. Can a Christian fall into sin? Absolutely. Can a Christian live in a continuous state of carnality all the days of his life not bearing fruit and truly be Christian? Absolutely not or every promise in the Old Testament regarding the New Testament covenant has failed and everything God said about discipline in Hebrews is a lie.” – P.W

A tree is known by its fruit.

Apples don’t make a tree an apple tree. The apples merely reveal the true nature of the tree. Repentance is a fruit of conversion and often reveals that it is genuine. It is not that you have to stop sinning. It is that when God saves you, you turn away from the sin you once loved.

Jesus’ death for sins was an act of salvation. To receive God’s gracious gift Scripture explicitly teaches that:

Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now He strictly commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day in which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He appointed, having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead (Acts 17:30-31).

Repentance is necessary in order to receive salvation – therefore it is a necessary component of the Gospel we proclaim. This repentance from sin and turning away from it is also a turning to Christ in saving faith in order to receive salvation:

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

And that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem (Luke 24:47).

And how I kept back nothing that was profitable, but have shown you and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:20-21).

Some people claim that “faith alone” in Ephesians 2:8 negates the need to repent. But we must remember this hermeneutical rule: Scripture cannot contradict itself – therefore in understanding it rightly, it must harmonize with the rest of Scripture. As we harmonize all of Scripture we can clearly see that sometimes only faith or belief is mentioned, sometimes only repentance is mentioned, and sometimes both are mentioned.

By harmonizing all of these (rather than focussing on a single verse) we can see that the salvation call is a call to turn away from sin in repentance and a turning to Christ in faith – trusting Him alone to save us. The turning to Christ (faith) necessitates a turning away from our carnal affections (repentance). Man cannot serve two masters. As Todd Friel says; “Repentance and faith are two wings of the same bird that fly us to the Savior”.

This salvation is ultimately a work of God. Both repentance (Acts 11:18) and faith (Ephesians 2:8) are works of God. We cannot come to God unless the Spirit draws us (John 6:44). We are not saved by praying a prayer or walking down to the front of a church. It is God who saves. It is God who gives us a love for His law and a desire to live in holiness. It means we have a new relationship with sin manifest in a love for God’s law and a desire to obey it.’ – C. Buettel

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. (Ezekiel 36:25-27).
